Adirondack Brewery, founded by John Carr after a backpacking trip through Europe in the 1980s, was inspired by the high-quality ales and lagers he encountered. Unable to find similar beers in the U.S., he began homebrewing, eventually opening the Adirondack Pub & Brewery in Lake George Village in 1999. His goal was to create innovative, all-natural beers that were perfect for hot summer days.
The brewpub quickly became popular among locals and tourists, leading to steady growth and a transition to microbrewery status. Adirondack Brewery emphasizes using local ingredients and hand-crafting their ales and lagers on-site, ensuring freshness and quality. After years of self-distribution, they now partner with several NYS distributors to expand their reach across New York. Despite their growth, they remain committed to their original mission: providing great-tasting beer for the community.
