Founded in 2000 by Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan, 21st Amendment Brewery is located in San Francisco’s South Park neighborhood. The brewpub, now situated in the city’s new center near the financial district and close to the Giants’ baseball park, features a rotating selection of award-winning craft beers. It has received accolades for being the “Best Brewpub,” “Best Burger,” and “Best Happy Hour” by local media.
Freccia and O’Sullivan, who met in 1995 after relocating from Southern California, shared a passion for beer. O’Sullivan transitioned from a career as a photographer and paralegal to brewing, while Freccia, a writer and homebrewer, sought to enhance the local beer culture. Their friendship solidified during a brewing science class at UC Davis, where they conceived the idea for 21st Amendment Brewery.
