Paradox Brewery is a certified veteran-owned, independent craft brewery nestled in the picturesque Adirondack Mountains. We’re dedicated to brewing innovative, high-quality beer that embodies the spirit of adventure and the purity of our surroundings.
Our story begins over 40 years ago when our president and founder, Paul Mrocka, discovered his passion for beer and brewing while stationed in Germany as an army pilot. Inspired by the rich brewing traditions of Germany, Paul began crafting his own beers, sharing them with friends and family around Paradox Lake. Soon, word spread, and those in the know would boat over to Paul’s place to enjoy his now-famous “lake beer,” with Paul brewing up to 200 gallons per year to meet the growing demand.
The foundation of our beer lies in the pristine water we use, drawn from 600 feet below the Adirondack Park, filtered naturally through granite. This water, so pure it requires no additional treatment, combined with the finest malts and hops, results in our signature “Pure Adirondack” flavor.
Today, Paradox Brewery spans 25,000 square feet and can produce up to 50,000 barrels annually, utilizing state-of-the-art GEA Craft-Star systems, a Westfalia centrifuge, and a CFT Mfg canning line. Our cutting-edge facility in the heart of the wilderness is a testament to our commitment to innovation and quality, creating exceptional beers for adventurers, craft beer lovers, and everyone in between. Come discover Paradox Brewery, where tradition meets technology in every brew.
